Okayama University School of Medicine Open Campus 2026 Held on Shikata Campus

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the Okayama University School of Medicine hosted its Open Campus for the School of Medicine (M.D. Program) at the Shikata Campus.
The event was held in person at two venues, Clinical Lecture Hall I and Clinical Lecture Hall II, while also being livestreamed to audiences both in Japan and overseas. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the many participants who joined us.
The program began with opening remarks from Professor Jun Wada, Dean of the School of Medicine, and Professor Yoshinobu Maeda, Director of Okayama University Hospital. Following the greetings, Dean Wada provided an overview of the School of Medicine and its distinctive features. Professor Ayano Kawaguchi, Chair of the Department of Medicine, introduced the medical education curriculum and admissions system. Professor Hiroko Ogawa, from the Department of Community-Based Medical Human Resource Development, explained community healthcare initiatives and the Regional Quota Program. The program also featured a presentation by Professor Yosuke Togashi, who introduced current research activities at the School of Medicine.
