2024 Okayama University Medical School, Faculty of Medicine Open Campus Held on August 3

On Saturday, August 3, 2024, the Okayama University Medical School, Faculty of Medicine held its Open Campus at the Shikata Campus. The event took place onsite at two venues, the Junko Fukutake Hall and the Shikata Kaikan Auditorium, and was also live-streamed for participants from both Japan and abroad. We deeply appreciate the participation of so many attendees.

The Open Campus began with greetings from Dean Shinichi Toyooka and Director of Okayama University Hospital Yoshinobu Maeda. This was followed by an introduction to the Faculty of Medicine by Dean Toyooka, a presentation on the educational and admissions systems by Dr. Mizuo Ando, Chair of the School of Medicine, and an explanation of the regional healthcare program and regional admission track by Professor Hiroko Ogawa from the Department of Primary Care and Medical Education.

A Q&A session involving current students was also held, where numerous questions submitted in advance were addressed. Additionally, participants onsite and via the live stream had the opportunity to ask questions, making the event highly engaging and interactive.
