Report on the 2025 Academic Year Faculty of Medicine Graduation Appreciation Party

On March 25, 2026 (Reiwa 8), we held the Graduation Appreciation Party for the 2025 academic year at the Faculty of Medicine, Okayama University. Following its resumption last year, this event was once again successfully concluded in a warm and lively atmosphere, thanks to the cooperation of many, including Dean Wada of the Faculty of Medicine. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the faculty members who attended despite their busy schedules, as well as to everyone who contributed to organizing the event.

Approximately 130 participants, including faculty members and graduates, attended this year’s event, allowing us to spend a meaningful time together in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. However, participation among graduates was limited to about half of the class, which we recognize as an issue to be addressed moving forward.

While the Graduation Appreciation Party is an important traditional event at the Faculty of Medicine, Okayama University, perspectives on how to spend time after the graduation ceremony have become increasingly diverse in recent years. In light of this, we will continue to consider how best to organize the event so that it is more accessible and memorable for a greater number of participants.

We will strive to ensure that this event continues to be passed down as a valued tradition in a manner suited to the times, and we sincerely appreciate your continued understanding and support.
